Police have charged a man with second degree murder in the stabbing death of 38-year-old man at a house party in Point Douglas.

The stabbing happened at a party on the 100 block of Gladstone Street. The man died of his injuries in hospital.

Roland Todd Williams, 38, of Fisher River has been charged with second degree murder.

Neighbours say the small street off Sutherland Avenue is usually quiet, and everyone keeps to themselves.

Police have not yet released the victim's name. It's not clear if the victim lived at the house or was one of the people attending the party.
